Located on a small lot in a tightly held inner city location, this project is all about making the site work as hard as possible. The steep site sloping down from the street presented the opportunity to nestle living and entertaining spaces downstairs to flow seamlessly out onto the lawn and pool, creating privacy from close neighbours and creating cooling subterranean spaces. The journey from street to front door becomes an interesting journey of intrigue gently terracing down the site. Natural light and cross ventilation is considered at every point allowing the house to open up and breath naturally whilst maintaining a high level of security for the occupants.
